Bourne’s Energy is pleased to share a new pilot program “Heating with Biodiesel” from the Renewable Energy Resource Center (RERC).
The “Heating with Biodiesel” Pilot is available to help reduce the cost of B99 fuel deliveries. B99 is the same as heating oil. Through this program, eligible customers can save at least $1 per gallon on their home heating fuel costs when switching from conventional oil to B99.
Bourne’s Energy is currently the only fuel dealer in this program which means that all applications must be submitted to us at info@bournes.net for consideration. Bourne’s Energy will then submit all applications to RERC. RERC will evaluate each application individually and determine eligibility for the program.
Applications
Incentives up to $1300 are available for:
- B99 Biodiesel fuel deliveries
- Heating system inspection to ensure customer heating systems are “biodiesel ready”
Incentives are based on income eligibility:
Low- and Moderate Income (≤120% AMI) – one-third (1/3) of current market price for B99 biodiesel ($/gallon) up to $1000 + $300 heating system inspection incentive = $1300 total incentive
The initial incentive will be calculated at one-third (1/3) of the current market price for biodiesel. For example, B99 at $5.50/gallon would have an incentive of $1.83 per gallon with the customer paying $3.67 per gallon and the fuel dealer receiving a payment from the CEDF of $1.83 per gallon sold.
To apply for this B99 pilot program please follow these steps:
- Download this application
- Complete the application
- Email the completed application to info@bournes.net
The Renewable Energy Resource Center will evaluate each application for acceptance into the program. If accepted, Bourne’s Energy will work with you to schedule a time to conduct your heating system inspection and delivery of B99 heating oil. Please note that if you are not eligible to participate in this program due to income requirements you are still welcome to make the switch to B99. B99 does not cost any more than conventional heating oil, but will rapidly reduce your carbon footprint, having a positive impact on your home, community, and Vermont.
