If you attended Rocktoberfest in Morrisville this fall you probably saw Sandra Rolon manning our s’mores station! She’s always up for lending a hand, one of the many reasons she recently received a promotion here at Bourne’s Energy. Let’s learn a little more about Sandra in this edition of our Team Tuesday Employee Spotlight.
April: Tell us a little about your role at Bourne’s Energy.
Sandra: Well, I started in service billing, moved up to service billing supervisor, and then was recently promoted to Admin Service Manager. I focus a lot on construction billing for large installations and oversee inventory receiving for any new piece of equipment we order for an installation.
April: What do you enjoy most about the role?
Sandra: The people. I really like the three other women I work most closely with. We’re a really good, cohesive unit. It’s never a drag going to work in the morning when the people you work with are this good.
April: And what made you want to work for Bournes as a company?
Sandra: It really started at the interview process. I was just so impressed with how the company presented themselves during the hiring process. They really narrowed down what they were looking for in an employee and knew exactly what they thought was good for the company. They definitely weren’t just looking for a warm body or the right person on paper. They were very specific with the questions they asked, and you knew they were looking for a specific type of person that would really fit the team and the whole fabric of the company. You don’t see that often. And I really think that’s why employees stay here as long as they do. They really work to find the right employees, and they do it so well that the team is just really excellent.
April: Well, that’s pretty cool to hear. Tell us about Sandra outside of work.
Sandra: I have two older teens that I love to spend my time with. We like to go hiking and spend time outdoors. When the kids were little, I called them my little adventurers! Let’s see, I’m not hiding any cool skills. 😆 I just really enjoy the outdoors, my family, and this company. Oh and I am looking forward a trip to Vietnam with my daughter and her AP class in 2026.
April: What advice do you have for someone looking for a new career?
Sandra: Have confidence in yourself and know that you can do whatever you set your mind to. Observe, listen, and be open to constructive criticism. Listen and accept advice. There’s so much to learn!

Favorite place to eat: Well, I live and work in Morrisville and have a 1/2 mile commute, but I’d say the Matterhorn in Stowe.
Favorite trip or travel destination: I drove across country when moving here from CA and that was pretty great.
Morning person or night owl: Night owl
Book or movie: Movie
Best concert: Ozzfest as a 19 year old in CA.
