Bourne’s Energy To Be an Event Sponsor at Bring Back The Trades Skills Expo

Bourne’s Energy is pleased to join some wonderful companies as a sponsor of the Bring Back The Trades Skills Expo at Vermont State University Castleton Campus on May 20th, 2025.

“This event is a natural fit for us,” said Bourne’s Energy General Manager Jim Kurrle. “We are very passionate about supporting youth entering the skilled trades here in Vermont. For three years now, we’ve funded the “She’s Got Skills” scholarship for participants of the Miss Vermont and Miss Teen Vermont competition to promote young women entering the trades, and we have since launched our own $1,000 “Fueling My Future” scholarship for any graduating senior continuing on to a trades program in Vermont.”

As an expo sponsor, Bourne’s Energy will be bringing a team of experienced staff to talk to participants about the various skilled trades we employ at Bourne’s Energy and what career paths look like in the trades. We’ll also be bringing a truck for participants to explore and information about our 2025 Fueling My Future scholarship. We’ll also have a couple sets of cornhole boards on hand because we firmly believe in the work hard, play hard motto here at Bourne’s!

The Bring Back the Trades Expo is currently sold out at 2,200 attendees, and we look forward to meeting them all. The Bournes Energy team, our tent, and truck can be found at the outdoors pavilion on May 20th. We hope everyone stops by to meet us.
