TJ and Keith made sure to place our new tank exactly where we wanted it, which was no easy feat. They explained everything and even helped us figure out some things to improve our home that we didn’t know about.
I have worked with another fuel company and in the past and the customer service from Bourne’s is incomparable. I am so happy I made the effort to switch everything over to Bourne’s! Also need to add that Mike is amazing – so efficient and was able to save me a lot of money on a furnace problem that was supposed to be very expensive. Creativity and expertise are so very much appreciated and Mike went above and beyond to help me get things running again. Dear Bourne’s: I want to thank Steven P for exceptional service yesterday as he delivered LP to three snowed in buildings at my home in Fairfield. The snow from the storm two weeks ago has remained close to the 18” that fell up here on the Ridge, and I had not thought to shovel paths to the tank sites, so he trudged through a lot of snow to fill all three tanks. Bourne’s staff was here today to install the (2) 120g tanks behind the garage. NICE guys (Jarrod and Chip – hope I have that right) – they were personable and professional and kept me informed about what they were doing and why. Very nice service.
Marcel M. called me yesterday after Sam had been out for a no heat.
He wanted me and everyone else to know what a delightful young man Sam was- he knew immediately what the issue was and fixed it quickly!!

Definitely tell the boss s/he is lucky to have employees so dedicated to doing a good job. And John, who delivers our propane, is always prompt and helpful as well. He was instrumental in getting us the propane tank monitor which has really helped our irregular usage.

Thanks again for your prompt response. I was confused by the dial on the tank. I thought I was looking at the bottom of the needle since it does not have much of a point. The propane smell made me think it was low (so in my mind I wanted to see a low tank level) because that is the only time we have ever smelled propane.
Tom and Damien were absolutely great! By the time they arrived, I had shut off the items that use propane so the smell had gone. They checked everything thoroughly. Based on our description of where we were noticing the odor, they determined the cause. Since the leak was outside and intermittent, I said we were fine waiting a day or two. Nonetheless, they went all the way to Burlington to get us the new part!
So, great judgement call on your end.
Have really liked/enjoyed our high efficiency heat pumps until this week. Now we love them. They work so, so much better than window units and much quieter. These are the best upgrades we have made to the house since we lived here. If you have any customers on the fence regarding this decision, please share the above with them. Thanks for all your help.

It’s gratifying to think that I am making a difference in our community. Our input to company policies and procedures is valued and it’s great to hear different points of view that I might not have considered otherwise.
Company size is an important consideration when making a decision to join an organization. After working here for only 11 months, I received a cancer diagnosis. The whole Bourne’s family was extremely supportive. I had to miss a lot of time over the next several months for surgeries, chemotherapy & radiation treatments. My co-workers kept my spirits up with thoughtful gifts, flowers, cards and patience. It’s a true pleasure to work here. They even let me bring my dog to work! I have worked for other, larger fuel companies and felt more like a number than a person. Peter Bourne and the whole Management team truly care for their employees. On the practical side, the medical insurance is top notch and they pay a fair wage.
Bourne’s truly cares about customers and working here allows me to serve the people of my community while advancing the careers of the apprentices that will become our senior technicians. It is hard for me to imagine a more rewarding job than this one.
Your driver decided for valid reasons to deliver my fuel today instead of tomorrow. I had been dithering over what to do about slushy predictions for anticipated delivery tomorrow (Friday) and trying to enlist my plower and sander to be on ‘stand-by.’ He cheerfully filled my low tanks. The furnace came in and the boys set it up, everything is working fine and there was absolutely no disruption to our guests and I wanted to thank you very very much for your efforts and for your crew taking care of that. I needed a new boiler and needed to switch from an underground oil tank to propane. The boiler is in a very cramped space and other companies said they couldn’t place a new one there – they’d need to take over one of my few closets upstairs. Bourne’s not only was able to keep the boiler in the original location, but also managed the entire tank removal process and pitched in to help with preparation for a backup generator. They did a fantastic job. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

As a small business owner, time is money but money is money as well. After years of dealing with the cooperate structure of ****** where I was not able to talk to the same person twice and it took hours to get problems solved, I switched to Bourne’s. Previously, I had assumed that ********’s ‘rate locks ‘ were the only way to ensure a good price on heating fuel. After my switch to Bourne’s, I wouldn’t switch back even if pricing was better at ***** (which it is not). The small town approach at Bourne’s makes talking to someone much easier. I can call the local office and get through immediately without having to go though a menu. I have saved time AND money.
I highly recommend Bourne’s Energy for both your propane needs and servicing your heating equipment. When it is time to renew your propane contract with Bourne’s you will not have to negotiate, threaten or price propane with other companies. Bourne’s first offer price for contracted propane will be excellent. And to sweeten the deal Bourne’s contract price for propane is the most you will pay per gallon for propane during the heating season and if propane is less than the contract price when you purchase propane, frequently happens in the summer months, then the lower price is what Bourne’s will bill you for propane. We have saved a significant amount using Bourne’s as our propane supplier. And, you can count on them for fast, reliable and professional service for your heating equipment. Yesterday our boiler went down, called Bourne’s at 8 am, they were out early that afternoon, got our boiler up and running again, which I appreciated greatly on this cold November morning. So, for propane or servicing your heating equipment my experience with Bourne’s has been excellent and I highly recommend them.

Just a quick note to let you know how impressed I am with Chris and Bourne’s Energy.
When ******* used to deliver our pellets, they would blow the pellets in so hard that even though I cushioned the back of our bin, many of the pellets would pulverize and I had a large amount of fines that I had to constantly vacuum out of the bin in order to not get ignition failures. They would also blow a couple of gallons of pellets onto the lawn instead of checking the bin level, and if it was raining, the pellets would swell into a pile of soggy sawdust that I’d need to rake up as best I could. Then when they left, they’d drive the truck across our lawn at the end of the driveway, leaving deep ruts for me to repair.
Chris does the exact opposite—he blows in the pellets just fast enough to get into the bin, but they never hit the back so there are very few fines. He monitors the bin constantly while he’s filling it, so there are never any pellets on the lawn, and he takes the time to back and fill at the end of the driveway so he never drives on the lawn.
We feel as though Chris cares about our home and our property as much as we do, and this level of professionalism is both rare and impressive. I’m thankful to be a Bourne Energy customer.
I wanted to tell you about some outstanding service that Bourne’s employees recently provided us. Late in the day on Saturday, January 5th, I noticed we had no heat in our house in Swanton. I checked the propane tank and the gauge was zeroed out. I called Bourne’s emergency number and the answering service responded immediately. Within a minute or two I then received a call from one of your managers, Gwen Hoadley.
Within another couple of minutes a technician by the name of TJ (don’t know his last name) called and said he was on the way from Milton. He, of course, was on his way and arrived on Maquam Shore shortly thereafter. It was very cold and dark, but TJ got all his equipment out and filled the tank with enough propane to get us heat.
TJ was professional, courteous, and seemed to truly enjoy his job. I can also say the same for Gwen and the answering service. You are doing a great job managing the Swanton office when your team responds like this. It makes us happy and secure knowing we are a Bourne’s customer. Consistently have had good experiences with office and onsite service staff when we’ve needed them to install, diagnose and/or fix heating or hot water systems. Recently had significant issue due to electrical problem that destroyed portions of heater, team was here within few hours of when I called and took care of it.

We switched to Bournes many years ago and all in all we are very happy with the services that they provide. They have helped us with both our plumbing & heating needs, as well as propane delivery. We like the military discount that we get on Fuel & a prompt pay discount. The service is efficient, friendly and helpful. Bills are directly emailed and there is a choice to pay on their website. They are honest with all of their estimates.

Pam, hi! I was just outside doing a little gardening. I glanced at one of my two propane tanks, and did a double-take. The tank at the front of my house had been leaning somewhat, since it was originally installed. When I looked at it this afternoon, it was standing perfectly straight. The tank has been completely re-set. The original rock that was underneath it was gone. Whomever re-set the tank found two nice slabs of concrete, (the ones that were originally beneath the OLD company’s tank), and used them to level and stabilize the Bourne’s tank. Thank you, and your worker(s) who did the good work!

We were there when the technician came. We appreciate your doing this for us. The gas fireplace is working well for us. We also found a different problem with the hookup to our washing machine and the Bourne technician graciously called and arranged for one of your plumbers to come out Friday morning. We are very satisfied customers.
J. Brown called in today and wanted us to know how happy she is with her delivery driver John. She had been trying to get her snow banks pushed back for a few days now for Bourne’s but had no luck. John happily filled over the snow banks with a smile and while he was there the mailman came. Then he brought the mail and the fill ticket to the door for Mrs. Brown and she was very impressed with him.

I would like to express that I am very happy with the service I recently received from Bourne’s Energy. Our boiler kicked off on Friday night and I was unable to restart it. After some basic trouble-shooting I then put an emergency service call into Bourne’s Energy on Saturday morning. It only took two hours for the Plumber to arrive and I was updated on his ETA as I had requested.
I was impressed with John’s professionalism, knowledge and caring attitude. After hearing our problem he offered to come to our home and take a look at the furnace and determine and correct the problem. I welcomed this and within hours he was at our home, determined the problem and corrected it Our furnace has never run as well as it does at the moment.Your employee John Hemingway is in our opinion an outstanding employee and we now have full faith in your Business and we now realize that Bournes Energy does care about the customer.
