Removal and proper disposal of existing equipment
- Oil tank removal/disposal- Act No. 76 (H.531) the act provides that an AST owner shall remove the AST from a structure when the structure converts from fuel oil or kerosene and the structure is no longer served for any purpose by the AST.
- Boiler and debris removal/disposal. We don’t leave you to contact a third party to remove items that they have taken out of service.

Bourne’s Energy is one of the first heating fuel dealers in Vermont to develop and implement a sustainable clean energy strategy. Bourne’s Energy sells BioHeat to all of its oil heat customers. BioHeat is a blend of oil and biodiesel – the biodiesel is a renewable fuel derived from virgin oil seeds or from reclaimed vegetable oil or animal fat. Numerous studies have concluded that biodiesel produces less atmospheric pollutants and has a lower carbon intensity, which means lower greenhouse gas emissions in combustion.

Hybrid’s eliminate ten pounds of carbon dioxide emissions per hour

Bourne’s Energy also uses a biodiesel blend in their delivery trucks, pickup trucks and vans used for field service. Two of the delivery trucks have diesel hybrid engines. The trucks use the battery storage portion of the hybrid design to run pumps on the truck when pumping fuel deliveries to customers – thus avoiding engine idling and eliminating ten pounds of carbon dioxide emissions per hour of idling.

Your driver decided for valid reasons to deliver my fuel today instead of tomorrow. I had been dithering over what to do about slushy predictions for anticipated delivery tomorrow (Friday) and trying to enlist my plower and sander to be on ‘stand-by.’ He cheerfully filled my low tanks.
